Default Black pillar trim

Hello! This is my first post and I hope I can find can find an answer

The black "sticker" cover by the window pillars are peeling. I was thinking of taking a heat gun, removing the rest of the pillar sticker covering and putting a coat of Duplicolor primer, black trim paint, adhesion promoter, and clearcoat. What do you guys think? Has anyone else done this or some other fix?

Thanks in advance.

Default Pillar Trim

I found it. Do you recommend I sand it, prime, paint, adhesion promoter, and clearcoat?

I just clean off the glue and use a mild scuff pad then a precleaner and than light coats of a euro-black paint, I never use the clear as the tape is a flat color. also a hairdryer used between coats helps to cure the paint.
