Default blower fan wont shut off!!

fiance took my car to the city the other day and now the heater fan wont turn off. have to pull the fuse to shut it off. also there was a vibration when it was on.
was reading that disconnecting the bat and holding pos n neg together for 5 mins cures some problems. would that solve this problem?
any help is much appreciated.

blame her and dont get her anything for christmas lol

oh and if you are thinking of creating a small explosion then go ahead and short the battery....

if you want the car to reset you should disconnect the battery and leave it overnight

The resistor might be shorted keeping it on.

The resistor is in the blower motor housing. You have to remove the blower motor to get to it.

Did you remove the blower motor?
If so you need to remove the 2 screws holding the motor into the plastic housing. Then slide the motor out. The aluminum part still in there is the resistor.

Sorry I don't remember how much it costs for one new.
I checked FCPgroton but it looks like they don't carry it.
