Default cdrom changer -iffy

Like the s80, the 10 disk cdrom cartridge is new to me. I have burned a few disk copy of my favorite cds and while the copies works in every pc, they are not always reliable in the '01 s80 t6 cdchanger. Some times they work, sometimes I just get "error" on the display after it "thinks" about it for an extended moment.

So the question- Is there a way to clean the reader eye in the changer??? I know this can be done on pc cd trays but not sure how or what can be done to ensure some piece of dust/lint isn't just fogging the changers eye and throwing an error.

Thanks for any comment/guidance.

Try different discs, there can be a quality difference that can affect how certain readers read discs.

Default cd's

I have wasted soooooooooo many cd's until I figured it out.
Burn only on CD-R !!!! Don't burn on CD-RW.The quality is good but it seems like it skips more than I would like..even on small bumps. And another thing you cant re-write on the CD-R ,so make sure you picked the right/good songs.
Hope this helps...Good luck

Well, I'm using PNY 1x-12x compatible 700mb/80min cd-r. So maybe the next time I do a disk copy I'll set the burn speed on the target drive to...8x . but what bugs me is that all the disks have run in the volvo' changer -its just that 7 of 10 times they will crash with a "error" on the display- its really annoying.
