Default coolant mysteriously vanishing where do I look

First- don't see it on the driveway...

2002 s80T6 97K... love it

Couple of months ago began to notice coolant was at min, added to max, and have been doing this ever 3 or 4 weeks (only putting about 600 miles a month on the car). Don't see white smoke when running (some for a few seconds at start) and the oil and trans fluid look clear and don't smell like coolant. I don't see any obvious leaks in the hoses (haven't looked too hard, don't know if there are any spots where this is likely to occur. Read some previous posts and thought it might be the cap (which was slightly cracked, replaced it, didn't seem to help) so I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone had any ideas. Don't know if this is an easy thing for a mechanic to pinpoint but haven't gone that route yet.

Based on what you have posted, I would be looking toward the water pump as my prime suspect. I am changing mine out this weekend

It is on the passenger's side of the motor, the timing belt is what turns it.

Default Coolant loss...

You might check the bottom of the coolant resoviour - the fitting where the
fluid level sending indicator enters the reseviour may have failed.

Default Coolant loss...

On a related issue, my 2000 S80 has a foamy oil in the reseviour - not on the engine oil dipstick nor the transmission dipstick....
