Does my 2000 S80 have Overdrive?
I just got done talking to my local Volvo service department and I had been asking about getting my transmission fluid flushed. They quoted that it is a $150 if my 2000 S80 doesn't have O/D, and that it is $395 if my car does have O/D.
They said that my car probably doesn't have O/D, I didn't notice an O/D button near the shifter or on the dash, but why does it cost so much more if it would have O/D?
And is $150 sound right for a transmission fluid flush/change?

RE: Does my 2000 S80 have Overdrive?
Yeah, the tech guy at the dealership did a poor job of explaining what he was talking about. He basically wanted to know if I had 4 Speed Auto or a 5 Speed Auto, the difference being they run synthetic transmission fluid in the 5 speed. They also charge 3 times as much for their synthetic fluid as they do for regular, hence the price difference of 150 dollars for regular and 395 for synthetic.
I just got back from the dealership, they did the regular transmission flush for $145, which wasn't that bad. An independent shop wanted to charge me $260 for the same job. I HATE TRYING TO DO MAINTENANCE, people are always trying to rip you off.
