Ever since buying our 2001 S80, we’ve had nothing but trouble; our latest issues…

(1) The driver door control panel does not work/control windows, or door locks. Also the interior nav lights do not turn on when prompted (possibly connected), but will turn on when the doors are ajar.

(2) The SRS immediate attention warning light started flashing on the dash.

Some important info: In the past two months we moved to Wisconsin where we have not gotten over 0 degrees Fahrenheit. The original home average temperature was about 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Do you think weather could be the issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. The nearest Volvo dealership/tech is about an hours drive. This is our 4th Volvo in the family and we've never had this much trouble-EVER! Thank you in advance for your help!

 

The drivers door module might be the problem and causing both issues you have.

Sadly you would need to go to the Dealer.

One last question, approximately how much do you think themodule may cost?

 

I forget exactly but I think it is pretty expensive. I think it is like $300.00 then the labor and software upgrade.

If there is codes they might be able to clear them and it might work for a little while but not sure.

Also I forget exaclty which fuse it is but you might be able to pull the fuse for the Drivers Door Module and reset it and live with it a little longer.
