I haven't really heard of any project S80s that were non turbo, and I believe the 1999-2001 S80 T6 engines ultimately don't hold up as long as the non turbos, so i have decided to pursue performance upgrades on the non turbo.

I have stage 0'ed my car as of now, the most performance oriented part being the air filter (lol). Does anyone know if IPD does ECU flashes on non turbo S80s, and if they do, what kind of performance improvements am i likely to see? Is it worth it to even do on this car, I am about to have enough money to custom fit an air intake, change out the exhaust, etc. Are these more important than flashing the ECU? I'm not trying to go track fast, just fast fast. I know S80s aren't built for speed.

 

i dont really know what the ecu upgrade alters apart from turbo boost... I am sure that the major factor in power gain is the gain in boost.. honestly though, IPD are a useful bunch, call them up and they will explain everything honestly to you..
