I am in need of a passenger side axle and have found one . Here is the issue ...It doesnt have the visco. Is it needed?Can I use the axle without it? what effects would it have?

any help will be gladly appreciated...

 

if this helps its a 1999 S80 twin turbo.

 

Im not sure if it will work or not.
Never got a good explination on why they put it on some cars and not others.
