Default Figures !

Hey everyone just to let you know I am new so pleasebare with me... O and I am a girl thats why I type like I talk if that makes any since.

Today while driving home from work my Transmission Service URGENT light came on.
I pulled over to check the trans fluid and it was fine
Checked the oil fine to.
Then I went to continue my journey home and it wasnt shifting gears my RPMs were between 2500-3200 and I was only going 30 mph. I stoped at the first Auto Zone and they pulled a code for me.
It was P1618
I have no clue what this is and they didnt carry the Hayne's book for my car.
If you can help it is greatly appreciated!
Its funny I worked at a Volvo dealership and never heard anything about issues with Volvos so I am completley dumbfounded.

Thanks a bunch!

I would have someone else pull the codes.
The description above only refers to the older cars.

Usually when there is a code the transmission goes into what is called limp home mode.
It shifts at a preprogrammed time or pressure.
