Flashing Blinker lights after car is locked

Hi - I just got a 2000 S80 and I have a strange issue. About 1 hour after I lock the doors the blinker lights start flashing and do not stop until I lock and unlock the doors. However after an hour they start blinking again. Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be?

Your alarm siren which is actally the module is bad. Thats a common issue on the s80's. Do you have an alarm system service required message on start up?
