Default Foot Brake

Recently, I've been experiencing noise from my foot brake. Actually, it sounds like air leaking from a tire but coming from the foot brake. This specifically happens when releasing the brakes during heavy traffic ( a lot of stop & go). Then it graduates to a high pitch noise every time I release the brakes. However, once traffic subsides and moving along......the brake noise goes away. Any clues??

That is typically a bad brake booster.

I have been experiancing the same problem, does it need immidiate replacement?A quick tap on the brake usually makes the sound go away but it still really bugs me!

Well the brake pedal will slowly get harder and harder like if the car was off and you were trying to stop.
