Default Front end vibration on braking

Hey guys,

Got my car back today. I had a hard shift twice from first to second twice as I left the dealership and I almost crapped my pants, but it didn't happen again after that so my BP went down..lol...

Anyway, I notice the front end seems to vibrate a good bit when I break. Any ideas what it could be? Brakes and suspension checked out on the used car inspection sheet.

I would suggest looking at the rubber bushings on your lower control arms.

Let me make a quick correction i feel vibration in the steering wheel and on the brake peddle when I press them. I guess I just assumed it was comming from the front. It may be, but the vibration is in the steering wheel mostly

Your brakes could have sufficient pad depth, but it doesn't mean your rotors are not warped. Often people will just throw brake pads onto a car when the pads are low, but if you don't resurface the rotors or replace them, you often will get vibrations when braking, often severe.

Rotor warping may not be clearly visible in inspection on the car, where pad depth is quite obvious.

sounds like rotors to me. if you can find a place that will grind down the uneven parts that will be much cheaper than replacing. quick fix if they aren't too warped.

Makes sense. I'll get them checked and report back!
