Default Gas Smell In Car

My garage smells like gas when I park my S80 in there and we noticed a smell in the back seat. We removed the seat and notice a leak and small crackin the gas pump or whatever it's called and would like to know what does it usually cost to replace this?

fuel pump? it'll varry from shop to shop. Best bet is to call a couple places and ask (including the dealer....they'll be high though)

Are you sure it's the fuel pump though? Not the fuel filter?

Welcome. I agree with cbevis, from the location sounds like a fuel filter.

The fuel pumps are known to crack and leak where the lines attach or at the round section(fuel pressure regulator)

The crack is on the fuel pump in the gas tank under the backseat. The generic(non-Volvo) part is around $275 and took me around 3 hours from start to finish. The dealer wanted around $800 for the job.
