Default gasket

Hey all,

"Customer states that vehicle leaking. Fluid under vehicle trans pan gasket is leaking. Customer acknowledged and declined repair $170.00"

Is this gasket one of the gaskets that was changed under the 600$ 30k major tune up? Is it easy to do?

Thanks

That gasket is not touched unless you have a transmission service done.

It is easy to do. Remove all the bolts and drop the pan carefully and catch the fluid as it comes out.
It should be about 3 to 4 quarts.

Clean and install with new gasket and install new fluid.

wher is this pan located, underneath the car? Do I put the fluid back in? Do I catch the fluid with a separate container?

Catch the fluid in a drain pan and discard.
Put in New fluid through the dipstick tube.

Yes the pan is underneath. It is on the drivers side and is odd looking. It is wide at one end and narrow on the other end.
