RE: Has anyone changed a tranny?
It's a pain. Just make sure you read up on all the "stuff".
Pulling the tranny was the beginning of my problems b/c
I thought everything was like the olderstuff I used to pull.
It ain't! Not much to compare to, just make sure you read
up and have a GOOD set of Torx sockets from 25 to 55.
This forum is great help also.

I took the car to the dealer to diagnose it they said it needed a software upgrade, maf, and a tranny,
If I put in a used tranny (found one with 60K on it) will it still need the software upgrade?
Which they are telling me will cost 165 bucks, what a rip off.

RE: Has anyone changed a tranny?
lol Aamco told me how much a pain it was and they had 2-3 guys working on it!.......they rebuilt mine, but they still had to take it out and put it in. The hardest thing for them was the torque converter, they ended up having to do that 2 times, and they said it was hard to get it to line up
