Headlight Bulb Replacement

Headlight Bulb Replacement
Hello,
This should be an easy question but I couldn't find it anywhere:
How doyou change the headlightbulbs on Volvo S80's?
I'm not sure what year, but I don't think the car has HIDs. It's a lowbeam. Do you have to take anything special off, move the battery or anything around first?
I'm expecting it to be an easy job but I figured I'd check first; it's for a friends car, so I won't have a lot of time to mess with it.
Thanks in advance for your help

RE: Headlight Bulb Replacement
Ok, thanks for your response
I was wondering, is it a pretty standard halogen bulb replacement, like on mid 90's VW Jettas etc.? Just turn the lock ring, pull out the bulb, unplug, plug in the new one insert and re-lock with the lock ring?
I'm most familiar with VWs. I know some of the newer VWs and other cars the designs got a little more complicated.
Thanks again

RE: Headlight Bulb Replacement
Hi, mrmullin.
I have a 2004 S80, and when I lost a H/L bulb, I simply couldn't fathom out how to replace it, and in the end I had to takeit into the Dealer. It's virtually impossible for the average owner,as the front bumper has to be detached, and there's NO WAY that one can get their hand at the unit from inside the engine bay. Was done immediately, happily, and free of charge by the Dealer, who told me that modern bulbs weren't designed to cope with the constant filling-jarring shocks of going over interminable speed bumps, and the filaments simply give up the ghost. Now, I go over speed bumpsin the manner thatthey are designed to make me!!!!!
