New daughter in law needs bulb replacement on headlight....2002 s40....how is it done....do you have to pull the entire headlight assembly to do it????

 

From the back side under the hood on teh back of the light is rubber caps over the holes. Remove the rubber cap then unplug the bulb. Then unhook the metal tab and slide the bulb out.

Becareful the plastic in the mountings break alot and then the headlight flops around.Also the plastic on the plug falls apart as well.

 

I appreciate the quick response...I saw the rubber caps...just didnt have time to pull them b4 I had to go to work...will check it out tommorrow in the sunlight....once again...thanks for the quick response....Paul

ok...got the bulb replaced....now the radio is locked I assume because I had to remove the battery to get to the light.....what magic wand do I wave now to get it unlocked.....thanks in advance

 

Did you enter the code wrong 3 times?
If not stop by local Dealer and get the Radio code they should give it for Free.
Then you will need to input it into the radio for it to work.

Also slide the radio out and make sure no one wrote it on the sticker already.

 

The daughter inlaw punched in random codes,,which put it in off mode....contacted a volvo dealer and got the correct code. Had to turn key in first position,,wait two hours until radio said "enter code"....input the correct code and all is well.....thanks for the help.....Paul
