Default Heater Hose Size

I currently have a coolant leak on my 1999 Volvo S80 T6. I have struggled to find a picture so far, but can describe the location. I have investigated this hose and it is the one leaking every now and then Currently Volvo want to charge me for the full hose which will cost $107 (Australian). A bit steep for a hose especially when I only need to extend the hose.

Looking at the engine bay (right-hand drive) there are 2 thickish hoses on the firewall that appear to be coming from the heater core, one inlet pipe and one outlet pipe. From the looks of it, it is the outlet pipe as it runs from the firewall straight into the engine. If I could get to part of the pipe that was on the engine then I may have replaced the whole hose, but there is no way without having to remove half the engine to get to it.

Basically I need to know what size this hose is so that I am able to cut it and use a pipe joiner to then make it fit right. Effectively someone has come along at some point, didn't put the hose all the way on and tightened it way too far. So there is a little bit of a bleed on top of the hose as it is not connected all the way, there is faded yellow dry coolant around the worm drive (clamp) and bits of a leak around the worm drive can be seen and you can see that coolant (when it does) is slowly leaking down behind this hose.

I could try and extend the pipe but then it might touch the turbo manifold (I think), which obviously gets hot.

Sorry I don't know the size of the hose best would be to remove one and match it up.
We always get the entire hose from the Dealer.

If I remove the hose I am going to get coolant everywhere . I was going to loose coolant anyway, so I may as well disconnect the hose measure it and then find a hose to repair it. The hose is going to cost a lot from the stealer so I will extend the pipe after the damaged part has been cut and fit it back on.
