I own a 2000 S80 and my wife has misplaced the key and fob. We ordered new ones from ebay and would like to know if any one has a clue as to how to program the fob. We thought we might be able to cut some of the expenses since we have to take the key to a dealer to get it cut and programmed...

 

Have you check the owners manual? Most car remotes have to be programmed at the stealer. Maybe they will cut you a break since you're having the key done there.

 

I haven't checked the manual yet. The dealer in my area wants $260 for the key fob and $175 for the key. I just didn't imagine it would be so pricey!!! Thanks for the tip.
