Hello Everyone,

I'm new to posting but I have been reading the forums for quite a while. I have come into possession of a 94 Volvo 850T wagon. And I love the car . But living in Ontario Canada I'm having alot of problems with getting the machine Etested. I have placed a new Cat and even had my mechanic check it and he told me that there is no EGR on this. Can this be true?

With the NOx levels as high as they are, then I'm unsure.

Any advice that anyone can offer to help would be great! I'm not very mechanically inclined.

Your car should come with an EGR. Do you have any CEL's? (Check Engine Lights)

 

Nope, None what so ever...

 

If you have one it will be under your intake manifold below the throttle body. Here is one.

 

I'll have another look tomorrow. The mechanic told me that there was a place for it but there was no EGR. I'll post back tomorrow... Maybe the thing fell off?

 

That you have no EGR might be the case. My 97 is from Canada and there is no EGR valve on mine either. I replaced the exaust manifold on mine and had to purchase one that had the EGR threads plugged.
