how do the cops react to HID's in reflector housing, assuming i put a "normal" colour like 4500 or 5000k
Well since many OEM HIDs came in reflector housings (including early S80s) don't see how they would know. I have never had a problem, just got inspected passes no problem.

You need to go to the Dealer so they can turn the daytime running lights off.

Got a update for ya guys...

Just got my kit from SharpHID yesterday. After 3 weeks of waiting they are here! Did a test fire of these things. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [8D] I will post a step by step guide in a day or two when all is completed. The build will show how to take off the front bumper and remove both headlight assemblies, install HID lights and how to replace everything as well...

glad to hear you FINALLY got it! Seeing as it took so long, go with DDM next time... after driving with HID's on the accord its hard to switch back to halogen's, even halos as good as the s80's... its just too much work to HID the volvo.. i'm into continuity, which means i'l need 3 kits and to either disable the drl's (which I rather like) or change them as well....
Its not about the cost of the HID kits, thats insignificant compared to the amount of trouble I will see to install all, especially the fogs...

Today I installed my kit. Everything went well. Only major problem was the low beam bulb out message. I really did not want to modify the CEM.

Long story short, I had too. Once I did a position light out message was displayed. Checked all of my lights & confirmed they were on. I drove the car around the block and all messages were extinguished! All is working now. The only warning message is my time for scheduled service message. I'm about 100 miles short of 75K.

I have pictures to post in my guide. Figured it's time for me to give back to the community...[8D]
