Does anyone know if the HU 811 Radio/CD player can be used in place of the HU 611 Radio/CD. Looks like the only difference is the 1 CD player on the HU611 and the 3 CD Player in the HU811. Maybe the HU 811 takes up more space and isn't compatible..?

It might work but not 100% sure.
But also remember it you do it most likely you will need a software download from the Dealer.
The radio is considered a control module and is part of the network of the car.

 

I think we discussed this one quite a few months ago, run a search and see what comes up on it..
dont forget also that the 801 has cente channel speaker support and also a more powerful amp I think...
