I changed the alternator yesterday. It took me about 3 hours....I know it should only take about 1 hour to do but I am a perfecionist.

Just a couple of real quick questions.

1. I replaced my front low beam headlights 2 weeks ago. Yesterday after the alternator fix, drove for about 30 min. Received a bulb failure, low beam again. Where should I look for a short in the headlight.?

2. Only getting 19.2 mpg.

See, that wasn't too painful.

19.2mpg is about right avg. depending on your drivinf habbits. I can get as good at 32 hwy if I really try.

 

I can I didn't take into account of my 16 yr old son drving habbits...lol

 

Three hours is a good time, well done.
Always attack problems from the simple side first, think about starting cheap and work toward expensive.
Start with the bulb, check the connection, check the fuse and up the line.
