Hello Tech or anyone else that can quickly help. I have a 2000 S80 T6 that I just bought that hasn't run since june 09, I did a complete top end with new valves, seals, and more. The car runs good, but after a few minutes of idleing, the engine wants to surge at idle and die at times. If you put it in gear it will idle good or if you throttle up it runs good. I ran a code and it was P0102 low A circuit input, I think this is for the MAS sensor on the air box hose. If I unplug the sensor it will idle, and it really smells rich when this happens. Does this mean for sure that I need a new MAS Bosch sensor??? I really need to know ASAP if anyone has any thoughts, Thank you very much..

 

I had similar problems a couple weeks ago with my 2000 T6. The car would not run at all with the MAS plugged in, really rough idle and wouldn't drive at all, unplugged it was driveable but still had some stumbling issues especially when in park or neutral. I also had the same code thrown. I plugged in my scanner and it was showing absolutely no change in MAF. I bought a new one off ebay for $120 plugged it in. Car runs flawlessly now.

I forgot to mention I bought a Bosch sensor 8670113 as I have read about people having issues with other brands with their s80s.
