i think i fudged the turbos lol
I was turboing it quite often in my 2001 s80 t6, when i got on the highway, i was going up and down using the tiptronic from 3 to 2 to back to 3rd gear, and i did it maybe 10 times or more. I noticed a high pitched wheezing//whistling sound coming between 5000rpms and 6000 rpms and it got louder, when i swithed to third gear it was fine. When i use the turbo from a standstill it does not make the noise from the end of first gear to the start of second gear....problem lies from end of 2nd to begining of 3rd gear lol...
Im thinking the turbo is leaking, if so, how much to fix, or whats the problem?
I use the turbo a lot lmao!.....am i hurting the engine at all?
I think volvo had resealed them in the summer, is that guarenteed for a year on their workmanship?

If the dealer did something the work they did is supposed to be warrantied for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
Check the intercooler hoses and make sure you didnt blow one. Or it isn't collapsing.

What do i look for when looking for the intercooler hoses, how much does that go for, and what do u mean by it isnt collasping?
Is it bad the way i use the turbo?
Does it sound like a costly repair? How much do you think it might be?

Its not good and not really bad they are built to move and make power.
If the hose is old and soft it will collapse when under boost. Make sure they didn't rip and get a hole in them. Look from the engine to next to the raidiator. You will see the hose going to there. Then on the other side there is another one going back to the engine check it good.
Also carefully with the E-BRAKE ON and FOOT ON THE BRAKE. Boost it up some and have someone look at the hoses from the side and see if they collapse/Pinch off the air.

So when i look at the engine, do i want to look to the right or the left, and is the tube obvious(big? small? black?)....is that an expensive fix?
The one hose you want to check is the rubber hose that comes off the front of the engine. It comes off the black plastic tubes. Then follow the hose you will see it go to the intercooler. Then on the opposite side one will come out of the intercooler and head to the engine.
I think they are pretty expensive but not 100% sure.

had the local mechanic look at the intercooler hoses, he said they were good.... after he looked at the air filter, had an orange rubber linning, he said that he thought it was that because it was really dirty and dusty....Do you think that's what's making the noise?
Does the lid for that clip in, because i opened it up all the way, but when i closed it down the back portion of it didnt seem to fit right, you could see part of the orange lining of the filter showing on the back side...
Is that how its suppose to be?(it was curved in the middle, the ends of it went in flush, but the middle portion shows a little bit of the orange lining of the air filter).

It is a pain to get back in properly. If you look closely in the middle hole you will see plastic tabs sticking down. I always cut them off. Then it goes in easier.
I doubt that is your problem.
Try to get some one to listen or you listen and boost the car and see if you can hear where it is coming from.

if it was the turbo, wouldnt an error message come on?, now that i tried it, it kinda went away lol....
Could something have been blocking the passage a little bit?
