Default Improving handling of an S80 T6

Hello everyone I'm new here and am looking to see what ideas you all have for improving the handling of an '04 S80 T6. Mine has the electronic struts, which seems to complicate changing things. I've been told if I replace these with "normal" struts then my car will throw codes and I won't be able to get it smogged. I discussed this with IPD and they don't have a solution. I haven't upgraded sway bars yet because I want to be able to have a complete solution. I don't want to increase spring rates if I can't do anything about increased damping. So I seem to be stuck.

I would appreciate any ideas you folks have! Seems like I should have bought one without the electronic suspension...

Electronic Struts - A little off topic - I have a 2002 S80 non-turbo, how do you know if you have electronic Struts - Mine handles well

Hate to tell you but this suspension was never set up to be sporty in any way.. Essentially you will have to stick with your nivomat electronic shocks, get stiffer springs from ipd and the upgraded sway bars... Even then, the car still understeers quite badly due to the engine position and weight distribution etc...

If you want something that handles well, buy a sportier car or a S60R..

Answer: Mine has a button on the dash to change the damping rate (soft/firm). If you don't have that then I don't think you have them. The other way is you will see a wire going to the strut...
