interior ventalation fan turning on?

My 2002 S80 2.9 has a curious habit of turning on the ventilation fan when the car is off and nobody is in it. It will run for a few minutes and then turn off. The car is turned off and the keys are in my pocket. Does anybody know if this is normal?

As beefheart pointed out, it's normal. It's used to help dry out moisture in the HVAC system and prevent mold. Many new cars have this feature.

I have the same model and year but the fan runs until the battery is so low it won't start whats that about?
