I have a 99 S80 and all the sudden the lights stopped flashing when I lock my doors. I've opened and shut all the doors but that didnt help. It's done this before but it's always come back on after a few days...but not this time. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

This was my experience with the bmw, not sure if it helps.

My guess is that the car is locked, but the alarm is not armed. Try stay close to the car and point straight at the rear mirror and press the button once to lock. Sometime, with low battery or other issues, we press the button too many time,ended uparming twice. In some car, the first press, lock and arm the car; the second press, leave the car lock but dis-arm the car.
