Lowbeams come on at random
My lowbeams will just come on at random times of the day. I could be driving and they will come on. I go to leave for lunch and they are on. I check my car out when i get out to make sure everything is off and the lights arent on and when I go back they are on. Think it could be the fuse? I also have problems with the key when I put it in the ignition it won't turn then after a few tries it will turn.

Has the vehicle ever been in any water damage situation?
Or have you put in an after market stereo?
Once I had an aftermarket stereo installed in a 97' Volvo, and after that all sorts of problems occured similar to your issues.
I took it back to the shop (which was an amature shop) and made them tinker around until it was better, But other strange electrical problems started cropping up after that a bit later too.
If you recently had anything done like that, you should probably take it back to the shop. Just an idea...

To clarify, are your lamps coming on when you are driving/car running or even when the car is off?
Most S80s have Daytime Running Lights enabled, so your low beams should be on at all times (regardless of switch position - with the exception of parking lights only) when you are driving. My guess is the switch is failing or something is tripping it up.

jlewis- Yes sometimes the light will come on when i'm driving. Now I get out of the car check the lights to make sure they are off and then I go back and the low beams are on.
Zachary- I bought the car used so I dont know if it had water damage and no aftermarket stereo. I've had nothing done to it.
