need help 2008 volvo s80 fuel pump and fuel drain
Looking for help.
My 2008 Volvo S80 died with a full tank of gas on the highway. Had it towed home.
I believe it is the fuel pump. It said the tank was empty but it had just been filled.
I am wanting to try to replace the fuel pump myself.
How do I drain the fuel from the tank when the pump is not working?
Thank you

And Volvo shows a special tool (tube) that fits in the filler neck to siphon the fuel out of the tank. So you might want to actually diagnose the car rather than just guessing and replacing a part that's difficult to get out - and might not fix your car.
It's going to be pretty hard to remove a full tank (going to be really heavy) would be easiest with a jacking platform (most larger shops have them for dropping various things from the bottom of cars)
