Default Need some advice on Ignition Coils

I just found a website that offers ignition coils for $27 each which isn't a bad deal but want to be sure they aren't junk?

Here is the link. I think I would be safer going the Bosch route for $39 each but want some feedback.

Thanks for your time!
Spank.

Thanks Tech, I knew you would reply!

You are so helpful. And changing these is a breeze from what I've read. I mean I can easily change spark-plugs, wrench on a car and such so not quite a novice. Nothing needs to be done such as a rest of anything right? Maybe pull the battery terminal to reset everything or no?

Thanks again!

Nothing needs to be done just swap them and go.

Thanks bud I think you posted a link to BWD coils some time back when my one coil died. Are they bosch's? My local store has them and think I mine as well pull this off tomorrow the weather is supposed to be nice.

Also on a side note, I noticed that my turbo seems to be lagging, it will surge somewhat. Could that be other ignition coils starting to go? The car has 127,000 on it and I did replace bank 6 and not 1 as I mentioned. I had it reversed. In other words can an ignition coil start to fail and show small signs versus just dying completely? Maybe that's what I'm seeing.

Thanks

That is possible the coils causing the issue.
I believe they are Bosch as well but not listed as bosch. The ones I have used look almost exactly like the OEM ones but is missing the VOLVO letters on it.

Thanks again Tech. I'm going to see if my buddy is around tomorrow to scan my car to see why the check engine light is on. Hopefully it's a coil or two and not something else! Fingers crossed!!!!!

Sounds like a misfire under boost. Fingers crossed for you.
I will check back tomorrow night after I finish working on the motor for yellow to get it back on the road.

Tech,

Thanks! I took the car to advanced auto and they scanned it for me for free! Big win, it turned out the CEL was due to my gas cap not being tightened.

It didn't pull any other codes at all such as a misfire or such?

I am seriously thinking about buying this item as I read the reviews and the symptoms I am seeing some state seeing turbo surge which seems might be my issue.

The car runs smooth but when I hit the throttle it surges and pulses.

If you hold the gas for a while when it does that does the Check engine light flash?
