Wink Oil Seal Replacement ..Pics to follow

HI All,

I've lurked the forums for awhile. Been around. Some good information.

Although it seems that there is still not alot of information on Volvo repairs compared to other manufacturer forums. Maybe from the complexity. And certainly not many pics. So I'm lucky to find what I can. What I have found is helpful.

Anywhooo, I have started to replace the Oil Seals, Steering Rack, Ball Joints, Pretty much all Seals, Turbo seals, etc..

It seems some moron before me decided to lower the '99 S80 T6 that came to me. And most of the suspension is needing various attention. Not to mention rack and all seals. I'm not sure what Volvo was thinking with their seal design. Or anything else for that matter. I'm a fan of the 850's but not so much the other models.

This thread will be for the Oil Seals, Cooler Seals. And I have been taking pictures to share. I will post pics starting in the next couple days.

FYI: Almost all the lower engine repairs you're better of dropping the subframe entirely. Just lowering doesn't cut it. plan to be out of a car for a few days, maybe longer as you find the need to replace more and more parts. It is a nightmare. I've worked on several Mercedes, BMWs, Lexus..This tops the WTF list.

Stay tuned.............
