Default Oxygen sensor - 99 S80

Hi..had ETM replaced a few months back...just recently a message appeared saying "Emission Service Required" and the service light came on.I know its a Oxygen sensor because the code came up before the ETM was changed and the garage said the ETM can cause this.
When the code is cleared I can drive for a month or two before it reappears.
The car runs great, fuel mileage on highway is between 7.9 -8.2L/100Km (33-35 mpg).I think thats great for a car with 300,000 Km (188,000 Miles) on it.But in town its only getting 15.3L/100 Km (18 mpg)it was getting 12.2L/100 Km.Thegarage had said not to worry to much about the oxygen sensor unless the fuel mileage started to get bad.
My question is #1 How many Oxygen sensors are on a 1999 Volvo S80 2.9L Non-Turbo?
#2 Do the aftermarket O2 sensors work ok?

I believe you car has 4 sensors.
They don't like aftermarket sensors. Bosch sensors are the OEM senors. Buy direct fit sensors not the splice in type.

I've seen direct fit Bosch sensors online for 1/3 of the price charged by the dealer.
Would these work?
They are manufactured by Bosch andsold asa recommended replacement part.

Yes they will work. Bosch makes the sensors for Volvo.
