Here's what's going on......
I'm a first time Volvo owner...
I recently bought a 2004 Volvo S80 T6 Elite .... 2.9 liter V6 turbo (fun car)
with over 208,000 miles on it ....for $1900 (you may have seen a few of my threads )
Also have the DSTC traction option ...

Well shortly after the purchase... I noticed odometer was staying at 207,513
miles and it hadn't moved....... abs light was on and brake light was on...
The code that was pulled was a P0571 .....

Ended up replacing ABS module with a used one that had low miles on it..
I did the job myself was pretty easy...


So now that brake warning light went out and the odometer is working
now.. and my cruise works ... abs light comes on after car starts moving...

and I get an intermittent code P0573 Brake switch A circuit high .....
is this due to a faulty switch or is it because I haven't gotten abs
module updated ....
and can I buy a programmer with software for myself

Volvo dealership is giving me a price range of $100 to $300 ......

any help on this matter would be helpful and appreciated ....

these are most of the codes the Volvo dealership pulled up before reprogramming my ABS BCM Module .....

Going to get the Volvo scanned again to see if any of those codes are
present ,

Anyways ......... After leaving dealership traction light comes on
and car hesitates for the first few hundred feet then drives fine
afterwards (this only happens after starting the car each time)

If this car wasn't so heavy and hard to stop I wouldn't
worry about the ABS........

any ideas out there are welcome.....
