Hello! I have a 2007 S80 with 18" wheels on it. It is a challenge to find a tire that fits that has good snow and ice traction. The low profile rims are also 45K mile warranty or similar.

I'd like to move to a 16" wheel which would give me a lot more options for a grand touring tire with good snow handling and higher mileage warranty. The idea was to find some wheels in a junk yard. the P2 cars have the same offset and bolt pattern so the rims should fit.

Has anyone done this? Would there be a problem fitting the smaller wheel around the brakes?

They only came from the factory with 17's or 18's. tirerack.com is your friend for research. Try to stay as close as possible to the revolutions per mile on the original tire size if you want your speedo to remain close to accurate.
