Default PCV system?

Is it a guarantee that the PCV system is going to get clogged soon after the 100,000 mark, or does the frequency with which you change the oil dramatically impact the possibility of having problens with it? My wife's s80 has 115,000 miles and I have not yet changed the oil trap and associated plumbing, but we have always changed the oil every 4,000 miles. Should I be jumping to change the oil trap now to avoid leaking seals and head gasket, or should I expect to have a little more time before I see problems?

depends on how often you change the oil, distances traveled per trip, and of course how you drive.

no set mileage or time. Replaced one on a 94 850 today and it was the OEM one and it went 267,XXX miles. It was babied.
