My 2000 S80 passenger air bag deployed. My mechanic is somewhat unfamiliar with Volvo (is not a specialist) and I am the one gathering the parts.

QUESTION: The mechanic stated I need a clock spring (this is without opening up the dash and seeing the parts). Volvo has stated they don't have that clock spring in the States AND the clock spring is NOT on the passenger side. Does anyone have experience with this? Does the clock spring have to be replaced in the steering wheel when the air bag deploys on the passenger side only?
