Default please help a/c fan works when it wants

Hello my a/c works nice and cold but every once in a while the fan will just not blow any air. it doesnt happen while its running. once i turn the car on it either works or doesnt. It will do it for a few weeks then be fine. Is a wire loose ? the a/c kicks on and short burst of air for a milisecond comes through but it seems as if the fan in cabin isnt pushing it out. any suggestions ? i pulled the fuse once and that worked but now it doesnt work to do that. And i missed and pull the srs fuse and got that service urget so ill have to go to dealer for that one.

I would say most likely a bad resistor.

You have to remove the blower motor to get to the resistor.
There is only 1.
Check FCP groton and see if they carry it.

Hey you guys can tell me the rules for this forum, but my other ones get mad if I start a new thread about a topic that already has a thread. Some places get mad if you revive a dead thread with a new post.......ahhh the internet...anyway let me know what you guys prefer.

Anyway the volvo shop I took my 2001 s80 to said I really need a new resistor and blower motor. They want $800 to put both on that includes parts and labor. They say its at least a 3hr job. Does that sound right? If I'm good at following instructions could I do it myself? If I do should I also change the cabin air filter (i think they are in the same place). Thanks!!!
