Default Is it possible to hide a backup keyless remote on your car?

I just bought a 2010 S80 with the keyless remote. Unfortunately it only came with one remote. Of course Volvo wants $375 for a second one. But before I buy it I was wondering if it is possible to hide a second remote on the car since it would be sending out a signal and making the car available to anyone who pulls on the door handle. If my theory is right what good is a backup key on a long trip? Both would need to be with you at all times so the car is actually locked. Any advice on this?

Thanks

huh?? so you want another key in the car? thats crazy. Other keys should be kept in safe place in your house. U never want to keep two keys @ same place. So what if you have a keyless entry ..just keep the one in your pocket.
That is my thought.
congrats on the car. You should post pics of ur new ride

We've always had a hidden spare key on our cars just in case. If you're 500 miles from home and somehow lost your key you're screwed. But I guess with these keys there's no concept of hiding a key anymore.

i guess when you live that far but in any case i would never do that..i always follow this rule "Never leave any valuables in car" ..i dont want to take chance..if i loose my key from my pocket then i would do call a tow truck or do some arraignments.
