Default Question on replacing blown engine

2006 S80 2.5T
Engine is a 197 hp model. Newer engines from 2007 are 231 hp.
Need to replace my engine due to running at high speed and engine coolant got dumped out when hose to engine thermostat housing broke.
Question. Can the 231 engine fit the sensors and ecu on my car ?
Is it possible to upgrade to a V70R type engine running 300hp ? what would this entail.
My car is an auto so that has to be taken into consideration too.
Engine number is B5254T4XXXXXX. Are the B5254T2XXXXXX engines the same ? Would one from a 2006 car fit mine ?
Any source for used or replacement engines ?
If I can replace with a more powerful engine, I would like to. I would like help in knowing more to make my decision and also source my engine...stock or upgraded.
Appreciate any assistance.

I'm no expert but I bet the computer in your car that is running the 5cyl will not work with a strait 6.
Also if the 6cyl is used, it may require heavier springs in the front to hold the car up.
You know the 6 being heavier and all.
I'd recommend staying with the same motor.

Can't switch engines on newer cars. Nothing will work right.
