Default Rear window defog fuse

Where is the fuse for the rear window defog? I've checked the trunk fuse panel and can't find it. My wife is threatening to take it to the dealer, so please help...now!

Default RE: Rear window defog fuse

Depends on the year of the car.

The owner's manual for the 2000 MY has this:

Fuses in the trunk
The fuses in the trunk are located on the left side under the covering material. The main fuses, under a cover held in place by screws, should only be replaced by an authorized Volvo retailer. When replacing a blown ordinary fuse, be sure to replace it with a new one of the same color and amperage (written on the fuse).

Later models also refer to 'main fuses' for the rear window but do not say how to get at them.
