Default Replacing the head unit on an S80 T6

I am planning on putting a new head unit on my 2004 S80 T6.

The dash kit that they sell on crutchfield is a single piece that seems to replace where the factory radio goes as well as the area to the left of the unit. In my case, the car has an integrated phone, and there is a keypad next to the head unit, as opposed to the slider storage thing that some of these cars have.

Does any one know if I can just take out this keypad? I don't use the phone so I don't need it, but I'm wondering if I will be able to just take it out.

Thanks in advance.

hmm not sure about the phone but i think you could just disconnect once you remove the center console?
also does your in car phone works? i mean how does the whole thing work..i assume you have to get a plan. is it dealer contract only or like sprint, att etc can also provide coverage ( like cell phone)
And how is the phone reception. is it clear and easy to dial/talk?

You should a video of the build in phone system . i never know how they work esp on a S80..thanks

I think the phone works, but I don't actually have it set up. I've looked into it a little and it seems like it's a pain to get it set up, it seems outdated, also I have a Verizon phone and from what I've seen you can only use AT&T. There's no sim card slot or anything either.

That's all I know about it... Thanks for the response.
