Guys after having my transmission rebuilt by a local builder (non Volvo) my "Transmission Service Urgent" light is still on.

Is there a way to reset this? I know a battery disconnect won't do it as he replaced my battery too while it was in the shop and that didn't clear it.

On top of that for some reason my steering wheel tilt lever seems to have come loose from the mechanism. Can these be purchased or replaced? It seems it's stripped......

You'll need to visit someone with VADIS (ie. Volvo) to reset the Transmission Service light (assuming there is no other problem).

There shouldn't be an issue with the trans. It was rebuilt last week. The code came up which directed me to get the car done.

It was an independent garage that rebuilt the trans so I know they wouldn't be able to remove the code
