Hi. I have a question regarding a 1999 Volvo S80. This is my mother's car and everyday she comes home from work for lunch but today when she was leaving to go back to work she tried to put the key in the ignition only to able to insert the key, nothing else. The ignition would not turn to any position. Would only stay in the "0" positon. Now with no luck I tried to rock the steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn the key as well as making sure the gear selector was in park. I am really confused at what to look at. The car is in stuck in the driveway head first, so I don't know how a tow truck would go about towing the car to the dealer without being able to lift the drive wheels. I would really like to show my mother that I can fix her car. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

 

That usually means the lock assembly is bad.
