The key in the ignition won't turn past II for several trys. Eventually, it does turn past II and starts right up. I'm sure this problem has been addressed in these forums but I was not able to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

You usually have to replace the entire lock assembly.

 

does this have to be done at a volvo shop? what can i expect to pay? thanks!

 

It is a couple of hours labor plus parts.

Not exactly yet. But I have explained it many times. I have never been able to take pics doing one. I have always been at work doing them and never been able to take pics.
