S80 2004 AWD Difficulty removing splash guard
I have difficulty removing the splash guard. I already unscrewed the 10mm bolt on each side of the panel, loose but unable to disengage it. I am afraid i might break something. Anybody has any idea or encountered the same problem? I am trying to access the coolant plug,so I can drain the radiator. I have a p0128 error code. I will try to change the thermostat and coolant sensor.
I need help. Please direct me to any source of instruction or diagram.
Appreciate any help..

There is a hole in the splash guard so you can drain the coolant without removing it. If you want to renove it, there are two tabs that hook into the bumper that you need to disengage with a long screwdriver.
Thank you, I seemed not to find those tabs..anyway, i just drained coolant thru the "****", found out its not 13mm to loosen it. Just a cross screwdriver.
My current problem is how to loosen or remove the thermostat housing without loosening the serpentine belt. cant even see the lower bolt holding it. Thank you again... any reference or you tube or diagram to do it is deeply appreciated
