S80 Accelerating Issue

S80 Accelerating Issue
The car will not accelerate if the RPM's are between 1500 and 2200, it seems like it is not getting enough gas or the throttle is not responding. If I give it a lot of throttle, it will eventually take off. There are no codes being put up in the computer, so I am really at a loss. I don't know if it is the TPS, the TBS or something else. Can any one point me in one direction?
I know it is not the ABS module, I just had it rebuilt. I was hoping that this issue would go away with the rebuild, but I was sadly mistaken.

I too have a S80 T6, 2003. Same thing. Intermittently, when accelerating moderately, it feels like there is no fuel. Not all the time. Pushing the "GO" pedal to the rug, it accelerates fine, but intermediate acceleration, it falls flat on its face. If I hold the pedal in the same position, 1-2 seconds later it really picks up and pushes me back in the seat. Strange...
When I push the pedal to the rug when I get the hesitation, it down-shifts, and picks up right away.
During light acceleration, it does fine.
The fuel pressure is good, 48PSI, and constant.
I've had a few things that I've noticed:
1) Red deposits around the Intake Cam mechanism, (VVT).
2) CAT inefficiency, banks 1 and 2, (I know what that is from- The last tuneup guy left the plugs loose and it misfired because the coils on top of the plugs were burned).
3) Recently, I get a short high-pitched "BEEP" in the cabin. "You have 1 new message", Code 001. I can't find any reference to that...
Any ideas?
James, is this similar to your issues?
I don't want to hijack a thread, but since it seemed similar, I thought I would compare notes and maybe add additional info to help us both.
Thanks,
Bob
