Default S80 Brake Rotor Sizes

I am trying to figure out without taking a wheel off my 2001 S80 2.9 what size rotors it has...seems there are several different sizes of Rotors for this car...

Does anyone know...?

Thanks...

On further research I realised that the s80 can come with either 11.1/4 inch rotors or 12"

They say the only way to know is to check exactly which one you have by inspecting it yourself... I dont really know the determining criteria for which model got which... According to eeuroparts it may have some correlation with your wheel size (makes sense)

Thanks for the reply...I have to agree with you and eeuroparts..it probably does have something to do with the wheel size..I have 17" on mine...

I'm also wondering if the fronts are different from the rears too..I'll just have to take one off of each..then I will know for sure...safer that way...was just trying to save a trip with the jack and wrench..LOL

I'm probably going to be hammered by this answer..but I think I'm going to go with Brembo Rotors and EBC RED CERAMIC Brake pads...I have Brembo rotors andCeramic Brake pads on my Lexus and am very happy with that...mainly becauseI don't have the Brake Dust problem I have with the standard pads. Cheap Pads causeHeavy Brake Dust......Wagner Pads are very good also. Just my own personal opinion.....

Well in terms of the stopping power, how do you rate the ceramics vs traditional metalic pads?
I support the brembo pads though, great brand.. one day I want to try out the cross drilled rotors just to see the difference...
How much are the pads your looking at?

I didn't realize the size was cast into the caliper bracket. Good info thanks.

I changed my 2009 from 300mm to 336 mm rotors. If you do this you have to change calipers and pads but not the brake flex hose.
I notice better braking performance when I'm driving sporty style.
I used RAYBESTOS speciality SP1307EUH semi metallic pads. They work very well. A bit more dust than a full metallic but that's OK.
