Default S80 jumped timing

I'm looking at a 1999 S80 T6 that jumped timing and bent some valves. Can I pull the head and have a machine shop replace the bent valves or is there a good chance that the head is also damaged from the valve being slammed into it?

Depends on when the belt broke.
If the car was going really slow then the head should be fine.
If the car was being redlined then the head might be trashed.

I'm checking at what speed it happened. My understanding is it happened after the car had the timing belt replaced. Not sure if the mechanic was driving the car after the service or if the owner did it. I took a look at those pictures you posted on the timing belt change and the damaged valves. I'm guessing I won't really know until I pull the head. My mother in-law has a 2000 V70 with 85K and I keep telling her she needs to get the timing belt changed but she is waiting till 105K.

As long as it was a slower speed you should be fine.
I wonder what happened if the timing belt was just done?

If you decide to pull the head yourself let me know before you take anything apart.
