Been searching for an answer but not really sure so I want to ask, what is interchangeable parts wise? can I take parts from any other volvo S-series cars (S40, S60, S70, ect) and use them on the S80? also for the S80 what years are interchangeable for this car?

we have a 2001 S80 2.9L

I am certainly no expert but I do own and work on a 2001 S80 and a 1998 V70. The only part I can think of that would fit both cars is a oil cap gasket. And I have replaced a lot of parts.

Obviously you would have better luck within the same model. But as I have replaced parts in my S80 I often find them restricted by years. Others would probably know the most compatible years better than I would.
